Two kinds of help. Take one, or both
Everything here is education, guidance, and planning - the work of a nurse and a coach, in plain words. Some people want one kind of help. Some want both together. Either is fine.
I am a nurse and a nutrition coach. I am not a dietitian, and I do not prescribe. My work sits alongside your medical care - it complements your treatment and does not replace your doctor.
Nursing Consultation
A nurse in your corner. When a diagnosis, a treatment plan, or a page of medical recommendations lands in your lap, it helps to sit with someone who has spent twenty years on the other side of that conversation.
We go through it together, in plain words: what your care team is recommending, what the words mean, and what questions are worth asking at your next appointment. You leave understanding your own plan - and with preventative care strategies that work alongside your treatment, never instead of it.
What this looks like
- Education
- Diagnoses and recommendations explained until they make sense.
- Clarity
- Your questions, gathered and ordered before you see your doctor.
- Guidance
- Preventative strategies that fit your real week.
Nutrition Coaching
Food that works in your actual life. Not a diet handed down from a height - guidance built around your week, your kitchen, and what you already like to eat.
We plan meals and snacks you will genuinely make, talk through protein and the rest in plain words, and follow up in a way you can keep up with. Small steps, honestly sized, that add up.
What this looks like
- Individualized guidance
- Built on your situation, not a template meant for everyone.
- Meal and snack planning
- Ideas that survive a busy Tuesday.
- Follow-up
- Check-ins that adjust the plan as your life changes.
Or both. Many people start with one and add the other. I would love to help you either as a nurse consultant, in nutrition coaching, or both.
Performance Nutrition
Performance nutrition is nutrition in service of what you do: fueling before, during, and after activity; drinking enough water, on purpose; eating for recovery; and having the energy to do it all again tomorrow.
It is for the active parts of a real life - training for a race, yes, and also the lifting, swimming, hiking, physical work, and grandkid-chasing that make a week yours. We build your fueling around your schedule and your food, and we keep it simple enough to keep.
Performance coaching works with healthy, active people on fueling and recovery. It is education and planning - not the medical treatment of conditions.
What we work on
- Fueling
- What to eat before and after activity, and how much.
- Hydration
- A water plan that actually happens.
- Recovery
- Eating and resting so tomorrow feels possible.
- Supplements, honestly
- Education only: what categories exist, how to read a label, and the questions to ask your pharmacist or doctor. Nothing here is a prescription.
The areas I support
Chronic conditions come first here - congestive heart failure (CHF), diabetes, autoimmune conditions - then perimenopause and hormone health.
What I offer here is education, coaching, and a nurse's steady company alongside your own medical care - especially when more than one thing is going on at once, which is most of real life.
I do not prescribe medication - that is your doctor's work. I am a nurse and a certified nutrition coach, and my work is consulting with you on nutrition - education and support that complement your medical treatment and do not replace your doctor.
Book a consultation
When you are ready, book a consultation. It starts with a free 15-minute call. You talk, I listen, we decide together if ThriveRx fits. No pitch, and no pressure.
And if life gets in the way later, that is information, not failure. Pause anytime. Come back when you are ready. No shame, and no starting over.
Please reach out for a free consultation to see if I am a good fit for you. The first conversation is a fit check, yours as much as mine. You tell me what you would like help with. I will ask about your week, your kitchen, and what has and has not worked. If we are a good fit, I will say what working together looks like. If we are not, I will say that too, and point you somewhere better.
The first talk is a free 15-minute call. You talk, I listen, and we decide together if ThriveRx fits. No pitch.
