Nurse-led nutrition and wellness support for everyday adults who want to feel better.
Hi there! I'm Kate - a nurse first, and a nutrition coach. I keep things plain and practical, and we decide together what fits your life. If you'd rather just talk, call me - I answer the phone myself.
Two kinds of help. Take one, or both
Nursing Consultation
A nurse in your corner. Education, clarity, and guidance around diagnoses, treatment plans, and medical recommendations, in plain words - and preventative care strategies that work alongside your treatment, never instead of it.
Nutrition Coaching
Food that works in your actual life. Individualized guidance, meal and snack planning, and follow-up you can keep up with - built around your week, your kitchen, and what you already like to eat.

Performance Nutrition
Performance is not only for athletes with a race coming. It is the energy to train, to work a physical job, to hike, to keep up with grandkids - and eating in a way that helps you recover and do it again tomorrow.
We plan fueling before, during, and after the active parts of your week: what to eat, when, and how much water actually happens. Practical plans, in plain words, built around the life you already lead.
Who it is for
Active adults of any age - walkers, lifters, swimmers, gardeners, masters athletes, and anyone whose goal is strength and energy for the things they love doing. Performance coaching is education and planning for healthy people; it is not medical treatment.
A nurse first
Hi there! My name is Kate, and I am a former critical care nurse turned nutrition coach. After years of taking care of critically ill people, I am following my passion and starting a business in preventative care and wellness. I would love to help you either as a nurse consultant, in nutrition coaching, or both. Please reach out for a free consultation to see if I am a good fit for you!
I am a former critical care nurse and a currently licensed registered nurse, with a Clinical Nurse Educator background. Twenty years of nursing sit behind every plan I make - and I make them for real life, not perfect weeks.
The areas I support
Chronic conditions come first here - congestive heart failure (CHF), diabetes, autoimmune conditions - then perimenopause and hormone health. My heart is especially with people whose health picture is complicated - more than one thing going on at once, and a kitchen that still has to work on a Tuesday.
I do not prescribe medication - that is your doctor's work. I am a nurse and a certified nutrition coach, and I am not a dietitian. My work is consulting with you on nutrition - education and support that sit alongside your medical care, complement your treatment, and do not replace your doctor.
You arrive unsure. You leave with one clear step
Start with one small step.
Mine, most days: a ten minute walk after dinner.
When you are ready, we talk.
The First Step
Answer three gentle questions about your situation, and I will hand you back one small step you can take today, the path that fits you, and a card you can keep.
I ask for no diagnosis, no medication, no lab value, and no weight - and I diagnose nothing and promise nothing.
Tell me where you are
Three gentle questions, in plain words. You point at the one that sounds like you.
Take one small step
One action for today - small enough to actually happen, real enough to matter.
Start the conversation
When you are ready, we talk. A free 15-minute call - a consultation, to see if I am a good fit for you.
Recipes, written the way I teach
Every recipe here is written in my template, with my note on it. I write them for two, most often, and each one rescales for one, four, or six.
Ginger-Garlic Chicken Wonton Soup
A Chinese-inspired chicken wonton soup with shiitake mushrooms and bok choy - rich ginger-garlic broth, tender wontons, a sesame finish. Hearty, and on the table in about 30 minutes.
White pepper is the secret: it gives this kind of soup its warm, peppery depth. If you have it, do not skip it.
Serves 2Total time: about 30 minutesOne pot
One soup, seven ways - the original, vegan, vegetarian, nut-free, gluten-free, low carb, and low sugar - each worked out ahead of time, with its own nutrition, estimated from the ingredients and labeled estimated.
Young athletes, fed well
If you are the parent of a young athlete, I help families fuel school, practice, and game days - growth and energy first, never weight. And that conversation always starts with you, the parent.
Please reach out for a free consultation to see if I am a good fit for you. The first conversation is a fit check, yours as much as mine. You tell me what you would like help with. I will ask about your week, your kitchen, and what has and has not worked. If we are a good fit, I will say what working together looks like. If we are not, I will say that too, and point you somewhere better.
The first talk is a free 15-minute call. You talk, I listen, and we decide together if ThriveRx fits. No pitch.
